Description
In this work, the drone is presented as a new anatomical figure, inscribed within a Renaissance system of proportions and cosmological forms.
The text, written in a pseudo–Old Ukrainian manner, is an integral part of the composition: it imitates the style of chronicles while simultaneously articulating the author’s philosophical interpretation.
It is likely for this reason that the drawing is perceived not as a technical diagram but as a discovery — a description of a natural phenomenon that emerges “in darkness and light” as a new body, worthy of observation and measurement just like the human one.
The combination of Renaissance scientific draftsmanship, contemporary aerotechnology, and semantic play creates the effect of a document from an alternative history. Here the mechanical enters the domain of cosmology, and the machine appears as a continuation of human anatomy and spirit, while maintaining an ironic yet entirely earnest tone.
