Tools & materials
I'm an oil painter by desire and some training, so oil paint is my preferred medium. I do like pastels though, and have worked with them probably a little longer than I have oil paint. Since the early 2000s I've been working digitally as well, first using Adobe Photoshop and then graduating to Corel Painter, which to me is a program designed for painters. I sell giclee fine art prints and the digital mediium gives me a full-size camera-ready piece of art I can send to the printer confident in how the print will look. My physical paintings are a little more complicated to get to the camera ready state and therefore adds a cost for high-end photography or large format scanning,
- Oil paint, Brushes, linseed oil, Liquin medium, and mineral sprits for clean-up.
- Corel Painter, Adobe Photoshop, Wacom tablet and stylus
