Description
The Moment of Noticing
From the series "Stillness is a Wrapped Thought"
This work captures the instant of inner recognition when restless thoughts, long carried as invisible weight, become visible to the self. A soap bubble holds a storm within its membrane: fragile, luminous, suspended between tension and release.
The painting does not depict stillness. It depicts the moment before stillness becomes possible, the conscious act of acknowledging what disturbs us so that it may be wrapped, held, and slowly stilled.
Through the technique of deconstructed canvas, unraveled threads expose the inner structure of the work itself. The boundary between surface and depth dissolves. What is hidden inside the painting mirrors what is hidden inside the mind.
The Moment of Noticing is the first in a five-part series tracing the inner journey from unrest to stillness.
