Description
Wo wir aufgehoben sind (Where We Belong) explores the meaning of belonging, individuality, and emotional security. Four abstract birds rest together within a vibrant world of flowing colours and organic shapes. Three surround a smaller blue-and-white bird, creating a sense of protection and connection. Although one bird is visibly different, it belongs naturally within the group. The painting reflects the idea that true belonging does not require us to be alike. It means being accepted for who we are. The luminous opening above suggests that security is not a place where development ends, but the foundation from which we can explore the world. “To belong is not to be the same, but to be different and still feel held.” ELIZA Leopold | 2026 Acrylic on canvas | 60 × 80 cm Original painting | One of a kind Series: Interpretations of Life
