Description
What the Sea Carries transforms the sea into a densely layered space of memory. In shades of blue and turquoise, heads, bodies, fish, boats and ambiguous beings overlap and merge. Nothing appears isolated; forms seem to be absorbed by the water and, at the same time, born from it. The sea becomes both origin and habitat, a place of longing, connection and movement — but also a space of danger, loss and death. The boat embodies this ambiguity: it may suggest travel, discovery and leisure, but equally flight, war, migration or the hope of reaching another shore. No single story is fixed. Life and death, arrival and disappearance, joy and threat coexist. The sea is not merely the background of human history; it becomes its carrier and its memory.
