Miracle-
One afternoon, in the Grand Teton National Park, I was fortunate enough to come across “Miracle” grazing in the sagebrush before anyone else spotted her/him. The back story on “Miracle” is from 2025 when this newborn Grizzly bear cub got separated from its mom and had to live on its own. It survived the summer and autumn and then figured out how to hibernate on its own. “Miracle” emerged from hibernation sometime in April of 2026 and is now considered a yearling and still surviving on its own. This Grizzly bear still has a few tough years ahead to survive on its own before it’s considered an adult and can have the ability to truly defend itself. Right now its only defense is flight from bears and predators.
