A Good Night Sometimes “good night” means only that the day has ended. At other times, it becomes a final blessing—a loving farewell offered at the edge of what we can understand. This collaborative work began with Alicia Centrella’s photograph of an August sunset over Puget Sound. Through digital transformation, the water and sky became a dreamlike passage in which fire, light, and reflection move toward an unseen horizon. The sun disappears, but its light remains upon the water. For me, this became an image of grief and the crossing of souls—a reminder that those we love may pass beyond our sight while their radiance continues to reach us through memory, dreams, and spirit.
