Feature Requests

this website has some quirks that need help ...

I will list a few here that I have noticed ... you are welcome to add a few you noticed ...

- There is a message conversation going on, somehow I was added to. Not sure one person is talking to me, but I cannot leave the message group. We need an option to leave, we need an option to turn off the notifications for this.

- One of my artworks were flagged as possible AI. It is definitely not AI and I have the picture on my wall. It is hand painted and I would like the option to challenge that flagging.

- the feedback link takes you to a completely different site that you have to make a new login for. Why would that work that way ... why is the feedback link not directly a part of this site?

- If you try to use the help feature ... it is an AI bot that is not helpful in the least. It just gives me links to things I have already read.

- This website is sending wayyyyyy too many emails. All of which have proved to be useless. I thought this was supposed to be helpful to artists?

- when I loaded my gallery photos ... the websites AI renamed all my pictures and gave each a story description. This is not acceptable. AI cannot be renaming my art, and describing things they know nothing about. This is personal stuff. wth??

This may or may not be the best place to post this. This is two fold: 1) to share how I use the AI Assistant and 2) a request. I use the AI Assistant frequently, anywhere from giving me ideas for posts to what my next drawing should be based on a review of my art or "what is my niche". It is a great tool I use almost everyday.

Yesterday, I uploaded an image I had another AI platform generate for a potential reference photo for a drawing. I then uploaded it using the AI Assistant asking it to evaluate the composition. Good news is that the platform flagged the image as AI. Unfortunately, any image uploaded using the Assistant appear in "My Artwork". That is not my intent and I usually immediately delete. I often will upload an actual photo for the same reason.

So, the request is, can there be separation between using the AI assistant in this way and not have the image appear in My Artwork? I would like to control when I upload a new drawing to My Artwork and not have trial images, reference photos, etc appears there. Maybe there is a reason behinds the scense for not doing this?? Thank you!

(even better is if the Assistant could "see" previous chats/topics and recall those discussions as part of a new discussion.)

Come on guys. Almost 2 years and still no integration between Art Helper and Art Storefronts. Stop adding new features and fix this please. This was one of the first and most obvious feature requests made when Art Helper was launched. The lack of integration between these 2 platforms is a significant friction point.

Why is the Header image in the portfolio in a "dynamic" container? You give specific pixel dimensions so that the image does not get cropped but then it is anyway unless the browser window is sized very precisely to avoid cropping. Is there any way to fix this?

Love the Contests. It would be nice to beable to view only first replies with the image but not all the replies to the reply. This would make it much easier to quickly see the images and not have to scroll through all the replies.

You can have folders in My Artwork view (very helpful) but that does not carry over into Gallery or Portfolio view. With multiple folders with different types of art subjects, the gallery/portfolio view becomes very messy and hard for the viewer to concenrtrate on one subject at a time rather than mesh-mash of different pictures.

I would like an option in settings to turn off auto-translate.

Good: turn off universally

Great: turn off for specific languages.

There's an app called ArtPlacer that shows really great video room mockups, and I'm wondering if anything like that is in the works for us? Also, my art is moving in the vintage direction, and most of the available mock-up rooms are so bright and modern that they don't fit the theme of my more classical-looking, moody, vintage art. Also, no ornate frames anywhere for mockups (sad face).

I've been paying to create mockups on Placeit for multi-painting pieces that are a set. They are nowhere as nice as the mockups on arthelper- would be a nice feature to have!

I have seen several scammers setting up shop here, preying on members. I have no way to report them.

Edit: I mean accounts, not posts and comments. I have seen accounts that are obviously scam accounts and one which reached out to me directly via email after following me here. They haven't posted anything, so I can't report it. There should be a way to report a user via their profile page.

Can you please make a history or a way for me to easily save the conversations with Arty? The suggestions are often very worthwhile but I don't have time go make use of them right away.

Maybe a dictionary of tech and social media terms for those of us who are new to the ways of current marketing.

Your update announcement included this;
"Additional notification types added. You'll now receive a notification if one of your posts makes it into the top 10 on the Trending feed! We'll also let you know when someone you follow has created a new post."

Please remove (or give us the option to turn off) notification for a new post from people we have followed. I really don't want my notification inbox cluttered with hundreds of announcements about new posts on the site. Too much noise.

Add timestamps to entries in Arthelper Assistant. Both those entered by the ASF member and the responses by Arthelper Assistant. Also, when you upload an image for Arthelper Assistant to use in creating their response, make the image viewable with the Arthelper Assistant response.

My more 3 dimensional sculptures and paintings need multiple pics to fully appreciate the work. Can arthelper please be able to see multiple views to make a fuller analysis?

Add an edit app when uploading photos.

Whatever you are doing to images before they get displayed in posts here is murder on image quality. [I'm referring to grabbing existing images from my ArtHelper library in particular. Images brought in from outside can be adjusted to compensate - but then that's a whole set of extra steps.] I'm psycho about how my images look and first impressions and all that good stuff. Every image that goes into a post in the community here is too dark and the colors are desaturated and off. Of all social media sites in the world you would hope that one oriented toward the art market would get this right.

I was a huge fan of Google+ and this by far the closest do anything I have been on since Google+. It has been many years since Google+ shut down so my memory is a little fuzzy.

Google+ had a feature called Circles which were closed user groups. Can communities be walled off? I noticed there were some initial invite only communities that that ASF started. Can anyone have an invite only group?

Collections was another feature that I enjoyed but to be honest I am not sure how it worked.

Anyway great job in putting this together!

I still do not know how to make an artist's statement with Art Helper for a body of work. I keep getting stuck with getting a statement for one piece. Thus I alwasy end up going to Chatgpt.

It would be more than cool if we could apply the Human Made Art badge onto the main page of our ASF based website. Location: near the owner's logo. @Taylor Sinople @Patrick Shanahan @Nick Friend Can you make that happen?
