That yellow is so true it almost glows against the shadows behind it. I keep looking at the petals and thinking about how hard it is to shoot something that bright without losing the detail in the folds, you kept all of it.

The patience it takes to sit with columbines until the light does its thing. I've learned more waiting on wildflowers than I ever did forcing a shot.
