I think your background is great because it does not compete with mama-bear and babies. Great image.

Thanks for your thoughts! Sometimes it's hard to judge one's own work, so I appreciate all the impressions.

I did get some critiques from elsewhere, and it was suggested that the print could be warmed up a tad, which I have done.

Thank you! I had forgotten that I captured this until I stumbled upon it the other day, over a month after making the exposure.

That mama-bear protectiveness comes through so clearly in the posture. The cubs tucked close like that, you nailed the mood even if the background didn't cooperate. Sometimes the gesture carries the whole piece, and this one does.

That protective cluster, the way they're all leaning in toward each other. I caught a similar moment once outside a train station in Prague, three generations standing just like that waiting for someone. The background fades when the posture says everything.

Thanks for your thoughts, @Josianne Fahey and @Sadie Webb. Doesn't Mama Bear also look like she's smiling? I sure enjoyed watching them.
