The NEW #SmallWins by Art Storefronts!

You can do an art festival, sell zero originals, and still walk away with a WIN.

That actually happened to Kim Winberry, and honestly, her whole booth strategy guide is full of these little "wait, really??" moments that completely change how you think about live selling.

She gets into the stuff nobody warns you about before your first show. Like why paying extra for a corner booth is worth every penny (it's a psychology thing, not a space thing), and why putting fewer pieces out actually sells more.

She'll also talk you out of sitting in your own booth, tell you the one kind of payment to never accept, and point you to where the festival applications actually live, fees and all...

Whether you're prepping for your first makers market or you've got a few shows under your belt, there's something in here that'll save you money, stress, or a rookie mistake or two.

Great article. I'm new to art/craft fairs, and have been experimenting with different booth layout. The first one I tried had the table against one of the side walls. My most recent try is pictured here. With the table at the front of the booth I found more people looking at my smaller prints and items. But it also seemed like fewer people were willing to enter my booth to look at the larger prints. I was sitting inside, and based on the article, that may be part of the problem. I would love to hear the opinion and suggestions from folks with a lot more experience than me. Thanks.
