The spin left those cells open in the center without forcing them. That's the move, letting the technique make the choice instead of pushing it around.

The way those colors spiral out from center, that's the kind of thing I tried to capture in slow shutter water shots for years and never quite nailed the flow like this. There's a tension between control and letting it happen that I still wrestle with in my own work, different medium but same question of when to step back and let the piece finish itself.
