A win! This piece, "Sunseekers" 24 x 36, will be hung in the waiting room of an area hospital. yay! Initially, they asked for a reproduction. Then, bought the original.

Getting picked for a hospital waiting room and then having them come back for the original instead of the print says a lot about what happened when someone stood in front of it. That second conversation must have felt good.
Oh wow, that changes it completely. People responding to the work through a screen and then hunting down the original anyway, that's its own kind of proof. The image had to carry everything on its own terms.
That shift from reproduction to original is the real win. Someone saw it in person and decided they needed the actual piece, not a copy. Hospitals can feel like waiting happens in a vacuum, so putting something called Sunseekers in that room feels right.
The original was on exhibit, so the buyer saw on my website. I am amazed. Love your comment. yes, waiting happens in a vacuum, for sure
That's even better, seeing it on the website first. There's something about discovering work that way that makes the choice feel more intentional on their end.
That moment when they switch from reproduction to original is everything. Sunseekers is going to bring so much light to people who need it most.
Thank you so very much. You just made me smile big. I cant wait for the install! It's a short drive from my home.
The fact that it's close to home makes this even better, you'll get to see it come alive in person and watch people find it.
