Mosseri's stated ranking order now goes watch time → saves → DM sends → comment depth → likes. Likes are the weakest signal on the board. Reels win reach (2.25x single images, per Buffer's 45M-post study). Carousels win engagement rate (~6.9%, Socialinsider). Static images dropped 17% YoY.
The format you pick is now the loudest ranking signal you control.
