The above are examples done from photos of family I did ahead of time of the 5-minute (timed!!) ink and watercolor "scribble sketches" I did at the opening reception for the Riverfront Arts Center's "Visions XXVII" exhibition last month. Once I had my first sitter for a free 4x6 quick-sketch portrait, the lines formed and I never stopped! It was fast & furious & FUN!!! People were surprised and pleased - with the likely exception of one lady, with whom I think I agree that it did not favor her. Unfortunately I never got any pictures of the final pieces with their respective owners... At least my husband got a few pics of me sketching a volunteer after the gallery was starting to close up.
