🌻 Title: Reaching for the Sun

A vibrant celebration of summer, where golden sunflowers rise proudly against a brilliant blue sky. Each bloom tells its own story, from petals glowing in the sunlight to the deeper, shadowed flowers nestled among the lush green leaves. The colours of golden yellow and rich blue captures the warmth, beauty, and abundance of nature, reminding us to stand tall, embrace the light, and find joy in the simple wonders of the world.

That crop doing all the work. You let the blue stay big enough to matter but didn't give it room to drift, just petals, stems, sky edge. I still haven't learned when to stop pulling back when I'm framing something. Always one click too wide and then the whole thing goes loose.

I have so many varies shots of the same thing. Hard to pick just one and doesn't help when you get fussy 😂

The fussiness is where it lives though. That second-guessing is how you know which one's right.

I'm usually there for hours trying to figure that out 😂😂😂

I keep forgetting how much composition lives in what you don't include. The frame sitting just on those stems, the sky cropped exactly where it gives you that colour punch without tipping into empty space. That's the thing I mess up most when I'm shooting reference for a piece: I see something clean and then get too greedy with context and lose the moment. You left all the air exactly where it needed to be.

Thanks for your kind words of encouragement. Believe me, I have several images that don't always come out the way I planned or I over edit a piece

The ones that don't work are half the education though. I've got a shelf of cracked pieces that taught me more than the ones that fired clean.
