That bridge composition is doing a lot of work for you. The figure crossing pulls the eye naturally from left to right, and setting them against that intense blue below makes the weight feel real without needing to spell it out. I keep coming back to the duck, it's such a small thing but it sets the scale and gives the whole scene breath. The flowers could've read as decorative but because the water's moving and the figure's bent under the load, they feel like part of the world instead of trim. What medium is this, the color saturation feels like gouache or maybe digital with a traditional prep?
