Forest Eye Waterfall

Post image 1

I think the title I can change to "Forest Waterfall Gaze"

Although this is a 5" × 7" canvas, I am curious as to the price for style snd brushwork on this piece. I am thinking zbout painting a bigger version.

What would you price this at?

$50$200
$

The artist suggested $50–$200.

The average is hidden until you answer — seeing it first is how everyone ends up saying the same number.

The eye as a focal point changes how a waterfall piece lives in a room. Someone will stop and realise what they're looking at. For pricing, the hours matter more than canvas size when the brushwork is this deliberate, a 5×7 at this density might take as long as a looser 11×14. What kind of space are you thinking for the larger version?

I meant to say, I am thinking a 16" × 20" Sorry, I felt I needed to correct my grammar. It's good practice for me in storywriting.

That size is solid for the detail work. Wall real estate and viewing distance will both reward you there.

You need to figure in the cost of materials and if a gallery is going to take a percentage in order to determine the price of your art. It shouldn't cost you money to create.

The way you've painted a gaze into the landscape itself is a strong concept. When you scale this up, the brushwork will show more, that can work with the dreamlike angle you're after, or it can pull attention away from the eye detail if the texture competes too much. Worth testing a small section at the larger size to see how the mark-making reads from a few steps back before committing to a full piece.
