The title alone catches me, that "the betweens" wording makes the whole idea land before I know what the piece looks like. Acrylic and ballpoint is a pairing I've heard a few artists talk about for getting handwriting to sit right on paint without bleeding, and it sounds like you've made that work here at a scale where both materials can breathe.
