Those edge transitions between the color fields feel deliberate, not overworked. I always struggle knowing when to stop fiddling with gradients and this feels like exactly the right amount of restraint.

A difficult balancing act, knowing when to stop fiddling. I've learned my lesson the hard way.

Minimalist work always shows me how much mileage you can get from a single careful shape. The negative space does as much work as the painted areas. When I'm doing studies I forget that sometimes, that emptiness can be just as deliberate as a mark.
