Hi Barbara! 👋 Painting stillness in soft blues is honestly such a good ambition. The invitation-to-pause thing is the whole reason work lands. How long have you been chasing this quiet emotional space in your paintings?
I paint a lot of quiet moments too, doorways and early morning cafés where the light just sits there. Something about working with muted tones, you really have to trust that the stillness will speak. It does, but it took me years to believe that was enough.
