That blue in the background feels almost atmospheric, like early morning or late afternoon light. What were you going for with the color choice?

I had a reference photo. The realism was what I aimed for in this work. It indeed was a bluish gray

The white blooms against that deeper green have real spring air to them. You caught the weight of petals without losing the lightness, that's harder than it looks with acrylics sometimes.
