"Flare" was captured on a late winter morning in Joshua Tree National Park, during the famous 2019 "super bloom". The wind was absent when the sun crested the horizon, and I had to expose for its brightness, wondering if the RAW file would hold color and detail in the glowing flowers; it did. Nervous about the lens flare, I told my friends I might remove it. They all told me to not change a thing. It remains my best seller.

"Sunset Tulip" This striking tulip, bloomed like a secret gift; a vibrant surprise that had been hiding in my garden for years. Its bold yellow petals, kissed by vibrant red streaks, seem to glow with the same intensity as the last light of day. Still in bud form, the ridges and delicate folds of each petal tell their own quiet story of nature's artistry, promising beauty even before fully opening. With the background softened into deep pinks and magentas, the tulip stands boldly, demanding attention without losing its subtle grace. This piece captures that fleeting moment of discovery—an unexpected burst of joy that lingers in the heart, radiating warmth and color.

“Begin Again” captures my journey into the unknown—where unexpected turns lead to renewal. With soft greens and blues, and forms suggesting both a face and an island, it reflects self-discovery and the quiet beauty of new beginnings.

Spring heralds the beginning of a new year and the world is waking up. This brings new life and the beginning of the race. For the parents, often just the mothers, to get their new born ready to survive the Winter.

Blossoms in the wind. Embroidery on painting. Spring is an explosion of colour, colours that uplift and sing in intensity with the force of renewal and growth. Cherry blossom is an example of this exciting

energy that rekindles our senses and reminds us of our presence with and within nature.

Here is my entry for spring with poppy flower in watercolors.

They are my favorites flowers since childhood for their colors, the way they dance in the wind, and the fact that they died so quickly if you cut them for a bouquet. They survive just in their environment in nature.

I remember as a kid doing some beautiful doll with one unopened bud and one head of an open poppy who loosed its petals. I could spent hours doing so.

Beautiful memory

Hi, this is my first entry into a contest on Art Helper. Thank you for offering the contest so we can enjoy seeing fellow Artists' work.

I live about 3 hours from the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. I love painting the gentle lapping of waves upon the sandy beach, the constant light breeze that is always present, and the stormy skies that roll upon you before you realize it, rumble and roll on out to sea. I named this watercolor "Stormy Sunset Beach Garden". My family has spent many camping trips at the bay and a lot of time on my Dad's boat fishing and crabbing. What wonderful springs and summers to look back upon and to look forward to. Thanks, Teresa

I see Spring through an eclectic and eccentric, retro/futuristic industrial lens. No birds, butterflies and buttercups. A spring, valves, tubes and a perforated nozzle in an architectural framework. Spring evokes tension, compression and potential release. This “Spring” is wheel-thrown and hand-built porcelain fired to cone 5, then luster fired with silver luster. Porcelain masquerading as metal. “Spring” merges art and engineering. And honors the nuts-and-bolts traditions of both hard work and whimsy.

  • Cryo-Glass Alchemy is a multidisciplinary art technique involving the fusion of pigments and glass under extreme temperatures. By utilizing sub-zero freezing followed by intense heat, you create unique, crystalline textures that trap color and light in ways traditional painting cannot achieve. I am the creator of this technique. Scientifically my pieces cannot be duplicated not even by me.

My piece for the contest, Art in the Forest, the fusion between the serenity of nature and the enigmatic presence of art. By placing a sculpture of a human head in the heart of a lush forest, I tried to represent how art, despite being a human creation, can integrate itself and find a space of harmony in nature.
