Father Luna, LauraJay280.com

Father Luna is a fall piece about transition, memory, and the quiet beauty of change. With its warm reds, layered textures, and haunting atmosphere, it captures the feeling of autumn as both a letting go and a becoming.

*`Autumn Mirror — The Golden Valley`*

*Alt:* `Crown Arts Autumn Collection`

Fog over the lake at sunrise, perfect reflection, maple leaves wet with dew in the foreground. That golden crown watermark in the corner sits perfect too — that's how you should keep branding it for social.

This oil painting, Luna is my interpretation of the ancient Chinese story of Chang-e. She dances beneath the moon before taking the elixir of immortality and flying to the Moon Palace, where the Jade Rabbit becomes her companion. For me, this old Mid-Autumn story becomes a world between myth, memory, solitude, and dream.

TJ PrestonVery cool. Love the story, too. Luna and Jade Rabbit. 0 pts

I love autumn, this piece just shows a full circle, as leaves fall and die, makes room for rebirth in the following seasons!

1
TJ PrestonCool idea! I thought I was the only one who painted in more than one direction. 0 pts

After the rain

Late October light filters through a canopy shifting from green to crimson in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Hudson River Valley, New York. Photographer Chris Boese highlights amber leaves mingling with evergreens as stone monuments hold a measured, reflective calm. The layered composition and soft light calls you to linger. It’s the kind of image that anchors a study, hallway, or entry without insisting on attention. Available as museum-quality print, this piece makes a subtle, thoughtful addition to your space.

" Autumn Flow"

“Autumn Flow” presents flowing layers of rust, amber, cream and deep burgundy set against a warm terracotta ground. With my Dutch Pour technique, I layered paints and gold accents to create marbled, organic shapes that drift across the surface, suggesting slow movement and quiet transformation. I finished with a glossy epoxy resin and a gallery black wood frame.
