Just followed you. I love your close-ups of your flowers and the animals. It amazes me the textures you can see with a close-up compared to a zoomed out photo. I don’t know if that’s all the right lingo, but I hope you get it. Love your work.

Hey @3ling.Art! Thanks for the follow! Just followed you back! Beautiful abstract work! I noticed you work with a lot of pinks and purples? What about these colors inspire you?
I've always liked bold red tones that exude power and energy. I once painted the walls of a kitchen completely red. Currently I'm on a red, pink, and orange kick. On the one hand I like the power of red, but as a 'downsizer' pink and orange fit in perfectly to bring a bit of calm.
I also don't know whether my sun sign is Aries with a Gemini rising, which makes me indecisive and simply blend together all the colors I like, regardless of whether that breaks any rules :-), but I do it intuitively. I actually sometimes plan to use only certain colors, and then it just spirals out of control.
Yesterday I started a painting that goes in a different direction. Also with gestural marks, but completely different colors. Let's see if that stays that way and I don't end up painting over everything.
Wow this is fascinating! It sounds very freeing, to let your emotions and intuition guide your art. I imagine that being very therapeutic (and maybe sometimes frustrating?) but either way expressive. And it’s hard to discover a method, along with the confidence, to facilitate that expression. I too am an Aries sign so maybe I understand how it’s one expression one second but can quickly turn into something else entirely lol 😂

Yeah! I have been very fortunate to have spent the last few years living and traveling in Africa - Africa actually introduced me to photography! So for that it’ll hold a special place in my ❤ but the photo of the Safari Inn sign immediately caught my attention!

Yeah i only started fluffing around with photography a year or so ago because out hunting id see so many amazing moments! So decided to get a camera and carry it with me! I follow ya back ✨
Also I don’t know what it is, but why are cows so darn cute to photograph?! Haha I miss being around them. I’m sure you know but the cows in Africa are not necessarily the best participants of being photographed and are often walking the major freeways surrounding the towns! Not exactly the safest environment to whip out your camera 😅

This is a great idea, with one caveat. After listening to some of Patrick's podcasts and roasts, I think if we are going to do this, we might also want to heed his reminders that instagram analytics have changed and that we will need to not just "like" each others' posts, but we'll need to COMMENT on each one (and reply to every comment left) in order to bump up the visibility of our posts. Excellent point, Linnie! It's so hard to keep up with those dang algorythms.
Hot tip: Instagram algorythm also likes interaction in the comments. So those weird spammy "send me this post" comments we get? I always respond to them "thanks so much for the support and interest!" That way I take advantage of something that is otherwise just weird and annoying LOL
