A New Idea - Feedback Needed 🙏
We've been watching the amount of extraordinary work shared in here every single day and it hit us — we've never actually themed any of it. We just let it flow past. That feels like a miss.
So the Idea: The Daily Shootout.
We post a theme (e.g subjects, texture, emotional, compositional) ,you guys post the work that fits and why (art of all types welcome).
Five finalists (Chosen by Community Votes, More votes you get... One wins.)
Why Do This?
Fun. Communities should feel like communities, not feeds. This is a reason to show up, participate, rib each other, celebrate each other.
Social proof. Every winner walks away with a champion card — designed to look good (all sizes) on your IG, IG stories, your FB, your artist site, your profile here. You need more social proof. We can mint them for you. Backed by community votes. You all need more ammo for the socials especially + I want you to be able to brag a bit 😎
Have to say it... but buyers like artists who win awards (I didn't create this rule)
We post on our socials and you get an @mention
Giving the work the frame it deserves. When you put a theme on top of art, it stops being a firehose and starts being a conversation. We think that's worth doing.
If we ship this and make it a thing would you enter? Leave me a comment 👇

Kicking this off today — bringing the people who show up in here along for the ride.

Looking forward to this 👍
This would be fun and building street cred for humble bragging yeah
Good idea, looking forward to this.
I love this idea!!
I would totally participate as often as I can !!
I think among other reasons it just would be very fun to see a variety of artists share work around the same “theme” it might even inspire us or expand our outlook.
And getting an award does look good!
This was done a lot on Google+, flickr, deviant art, etc. Always fun to enter and to see what everyone came up with.
