The restraint in this one hits differently than big blooms. I tried florals early on, couldn't make them work, always felt like I was forcing something. Quiet feels like the opposite of that, like you found the space between.

Different how? I'm curious what changed in your process or what you let go of. Sometimes my most interesting frames happen when I stop arranging the composition in my head first and just see what's already there.
This painting was my first after a long period of not painting. Recently I have painted single bold flowers. Interesting that Taylor, or is it Arty chose this one for an art review. It is true what you said, Linnie.😀
