The color balance in that middle ground works. You can see where you were thinking about how the eye moves through it.

Ahh im so glad you noticed!! I've been trying to learn from a couple of books that my dad gave me on perspective so I'm glad it shows :DD

The perspective holds up because you let it stay simple. I notice the color choices keeping things grounded, not overworked. That restraint is harder than it looks.
