Drawn on a Wacom tablet with a Mac using Affinity Designer. This one is installed on a building in Tacoma and now - as of last week - is also a very large metal print in a new 5 story children's hospital just opening this month in Tacoma! The hospital had a nature-oriented theme for each floor, 5 being 'Mountain', so that's where this one went! I was honored it was selected by Mary Bridge, and thanks to Nine Dot Arts for selecting me as one of the artists!

A work belonging to the Echoes of Time collection, it reflects the idea of horizons not yet discovered, the invisible and the unknown that the future holds for us. The piece presents an empty bench, suspended at the edge of a precipice between two rock formations, and it is conceived as an invitation to introspection, to pause and contemplate what we cannot yet see.
The void beneath the bench symbolizes the uncertainty we feel about what has not yet happened, while the rocks represent the stability and the foundations on which we rely in life. The horizon bathed in warm light suggests hope, a promise of new opportunities that are about to unfold.
I wanted the viewer to project themselves into this space, to feel that the bench is there for them, so that they take a moment and confront their own unseen horizon from a place of reflection and openness toward the future.

A moment that resonates at this point in time for me. "Which way forward?", and "Can I make the right decision?".
I suppose "forward" is the "right decision".

I just ordered several of my pieces on different materials for an art fair and was horrified at how dark they were. I use an iPad to do my digital art and save the files as a jpeg and use the correct rgb setting according to Bay Photo. Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this problem that doesn’t require a phd in computer science?

This commission (completed in Affinity Designer on a MacBook with Wacom tablet) was fun and the book is a good read, too! The author grew up in Tacoma, WA in the 70's, and that's where the book is set. Completed last year, the book is available on Amazon or Barnes and Noble for about $17.
How do you represent your work as an original , when they will all be prints of some sort? The first in a limited edition?

Is it too much to ask if you all like it to turn it back down a little bit what's opinions?

I'm quite happy with how this turned out. Pixels positioned perfectly in Inkscape.

Has anyone ever contemplated how little information is needed to convey intent?
