This black-and-white portrait presents a cheerful husky with bright eyes, upright ears, and a playful expression. Its tongue and raised paws add a sense of personality and fun, while the monochrome palette keeps the image clean and focused.

That tilted head does all the work. You kept the paws mid-motion, which most people would clean up or crop, but it's exactly what gives the shot its life. The monochrome helps, because color would compete with that expression.

The raised paws completely make it. I've tried sketching animals mid-motion like that and it's so hard to keep the energy without losing the structure. You nailed the balance.
