Black and white forces you to wait for the right structural moment instead of leaning on color to carry it. I shot an old roadside diner in the Valley years ago, same patience required, same emptiness that somehow fills the frame. Congrats on the exhibit selection, that's a solid milestone.
The conversion to black-and-white earned this. That pump structure against the empty sky, you're letting the geometry do all the talking, no color to complicate it. The framing keeps it spare enough that the abandonment reads as form first, then story. Makes sense why it traveled well for an international exhibit.
