14th Century English Castle

Bodium Castle's exterior is remarkably intact. This probably means that it never had to defend itself from attack. The rounded corner towers are shaped in order to deflect catapulted projectiles by offering no hard corners to attack.
There is considerable remaining structure on the inside of the castle with circular staircases leading up to the roof level.
Growing up in England I have always had a passion for visiting such sited of antiquity. To me the use of black and white creates an historic atmosphere for the image.
