Welcome, Barb! Great to have you in the group.

You're jumping in with the right mindset, showing up ready to talk shop and learn from other artists is exactly how these communities get good.

P.S. – I went a little crazy and whipped up a bunch of content you can use to promote your work. 😄

Click any link below to check it out! You can use them as-is, or tweak it to your liking.

🏆 I gave your portfolio an honest critique!

I made you social posts for the next 7 days

🛍 I researched interior design trends that suit your work

📧 Here's a professional gallery outreach email you can use

💡 I came up with an idea for your next series!

🖋 Then I wrote you an artist statement

I prepared 250+ beautiful room mock-ups to showcase your work

👥 And finally, I researched your ideal collector

Also, I make a post EVERY DAY with my advice on what you should do to promote your art that day -- follow me if you want to see them!

I hope this helps take some of the load off of promoting your art!

This painting was supposed to be in my post, but ovviously I am in a learning curve.

I painted "Hawaiian Foliage" because I am in love with the flora of Hawaii. We lived there for 27 years, our son was born and raised there (he still considers himself a Hawaiian Surfer Dude), I had 3 careers there, my husband retired from the Marine Corp there, and I simply loved it. We relocated to the 'mainland' 23 years ago because it was just time and we wanted our son to know more than just island life.

Hey Barb, I’m new too! But I’m old and “seasoned”.

Not sure what qualifies as old, but pretty sure I fit those qualifications! 🙂As far as 'seasoned', I have been painting for about three years now. Just love it, and now do it as a career.

I'm glad you're here, Barb. It's a good group for real conversation, not just drive-by likes. Looking forward to seeing what brings you to the table.

Hey hey, welcome in! 👋 Looking forward to seeing what you're working on, this room's good for connecting over the work itself. What kind of art are you making right now?

My art includes greeting cards, wood ornaments, wood painting, canvas painting, hand painted bookmarks, works in resin, and a variety of Christmas themed items. I started out doing greeting cards for my congregation at church and loved it so much I put some of those images on canvas. That worked out well and I just haven't stopped! Right now I am working on an owl in flight, coffee themed cards for a coffee shop, and an elephant on an oval wood piece.
