Bavaria moves forward on Nazi-era provenance research

Bavaria just approved a dedicated panel and an independent body focused on investigating Nazi-looted art. The culture minister also confirmed that a Picasso bust will be returned to the heir of Alfred Flechtheim, a Jewish art dealer who lost works during that era. Even as a digital artist mostly staring at Photoshop all day, this stuff matters to me. Understanding where art comes from, who it was taken from, and making restitution where possible is foundational to any creative community having integrity. It's slow, complicated work, but it's the right work. Do you think other regions should be establishing similar independent panels?

I thought that investigations on WW2 art looting was something of the past.
