A shuttered SF art school reopens under a new name and new money

The former San Francisco art school campus is getting a second life as part of Vanderbilt University's expansion to the Bay Area. It will be renamed the Jen-Hsun and Lori Huang College of Art, Architecture and Design, following a $75 million gift from the Nvidia founder and his wife. On one hand, a closed art institution reopening its doors is something to notice. On the other, I wonder what it means when a tech fortune reshapes an art school's identity and direction. Does the source of funding inevitably steer what gets taught, what gets valued? I'm curious how others here feel about that tension.
