Screen display or screenless tablet — which makes you a better artist?

The pen-display camp swears by drawing exactly where you look, citing the natural hand-eye flow and precision for detail work. The screenless faithful counter that looking up at a monitor builds better spatial skills, saves your neck, costs a fraction of the price, and lasts forever with zero screen maintenance. I go back and forth on this myself — I love the immediacy of a display, but I've watched plenty of pros stay lightning-fast on a $60 Wacom pad.

I use my own hand to draw on anything, if it involves a curser i'm flat out bad, but if it includes a touch screen i'm fine, but if on phone I use my own pen phone thing

My best art is done either on phone or with a drawing tablet with screen 🥹 i tried screenless before but i SUCKED at it. Might try it again someday but as of right now, I prefer anything WITH screen.

I need A Computer ( Apple) with a Screen because I work with Photoshop for my Images.

I also use an I pad using the Photo folder and transferring the images back and forth when I needed.

I only own an iPad at the moment, so I guess I'd fall in the Display all the way category, though I would love to give a screenless tablet a go. It will have to wait until I can put the funds together for this and more professional software. You use the tools you have until you can get better, right?

I'm able to use both together, the mac allows me to hand-off to the iPad for fine work with stylus or even finger, but back on the main screen being able to look - plan -implement without the neck strain.
