Waiting for Judgement

A red glow smoulders at the edge of the darkness, while cold blue light catches the rough outline of a presence just beyond clear recognition. Between them lies a shadowed space—still, watchful, and charged with expectation.

Waiting for Judgement inhabits the tense pause before a verdict: the moment when the past, conscience, or an unseen authority seems to weigh upon us. The forms remain uncertain, hovering between landscape and figure, as though the scene itself is withholding its truth. Warm and cool light pull against one another, suggesting a conflict between urgency and restraint, fear and the possibility of understanding. Nothing is resolved; the viewer is left within the waiting, searching the darkness for what will finally be revealed.

The atmosphere and entity are one and both malevolent. The intense blue is captivating while it stares at the red cavernous opening on the other side of the piece.
