Practiced on smaller canvas this acryllic painting. No reference used. As my own critic i'd say the distant sea is too light, but this was the camera on my phone. I called it 'Ocean's War'. 20 by 16 canvas. Rate my art.

Painting without reference takes guts. The distant sea reading too light in person but the phone making it lighter still is one of those problems that has no good answer, because you made the call that felt right while you were working and the camera just does what cameras do. Ocean's War is a strong title for a piece you took straight out of your head.
