I keep coming back to how much information lives in a small practice piece. My early film work was all 35mm contact sheets, one wildflower after another, and half of what I learned about light came from frames this size where there was nowhere to hide.

Good call on small canvas for practice. I burned through maybe thirty small pieces before I figured out what I was even looking at in the viewfinder.
