CARDINAL ATTITUDE

Backyard Series

You might have seen this on the artwork post site. This is the final version of my cardinal nemesis! Set on a snowy day with my Cedar Elms in the distance it caught me looking at his spouse and decided to let me know whose boss!

Yikes!!

Some where on this site I found a place where you can get a “professional critique” (Ai of course) that will dissect your painting in great detail. I adsorbed 3 comments on this painting: winter scene, integrate wings into birds body more and depth of field for the trees.

Let me know what you like and don’t like.

Thank you!

Yes, but that is just my taste :) Not every branch equally sharp, some parts of the bg "out of focus" and even grey. To create more depth and drama, sort of.

He is on a mission 😮 The bird is strong against the bg and I can imagine some parts brighter and a little washed out in the bg,

Hi Hans! Thanks for your note! Are you suggesting I adjust the bg?

Thanks for your input!

A little more focus. Although, I see than can be difficult while the bird is fly unless you know the techniques on capturing the moment. I still have a difficult capturing focus on a flying bird, so ode to you. I give this photo a thumbs up!
