Captivating Formation
This is "Captivating Formation" — 80 × 80 cm on strapped canvas, painted just before my third vernissage in Vienna (2021). On the surface it reads as distressed, industrial abstraction: rusted ochres and mauves meet stenciled, architectural modules and layered patina. For me it marks a decisive shift from inward expression toward an investigation of form, systems and visual logic — an early step toward the constructivist-referencing direction I pursue today.
The work exhibits textured reliefs and corrosive marks that interrupt geometric order; I find the tension between structure and decay most revealing. Which element draws your attention first — the vertical column on the right or the fractured grid at the center? Would you hang this in a study, an industrial loft, or a minimalist gallery wall? Please comment below or DM for inquiries. This piece would make a compelling addition to a contemporary collection or thoughtful interior.
