Daily Marketing Advice · August 5, 2026 · the mid-week studio tour nobody asked for

Wednesday is the perfect day to share what's happening in your studio right now, even if it feels like nothing special. A quick, casual update keeps you visible and relatable without needing a finished piece or a polished pitch.

Why Wednesdays work

Monday is a scramble, Friday is a wind-down, but Wednesday is the sweet spot. People are checking their feeds, open to discovery, and not overwhelmed. A studio snapshot cuts through because it's human, not performative. Show the easel, the worktable, the mess, the coffee cup, the half-finished piece. This isn't about perfection; it's about presence.

What to share

Pick one thing and post it. A photo of your workspace, a quick video panning across your current projects, or a shot of the palette you mixed this morning. Add a short caption: what you're working on, what's giving you trouble, or just what's on the table today. No need to explain the concept or set up the reveal. This is a check-in, not a launch.

If you're on Instagram or TikTok: Stories or reels work beautifully here. One minute, one angle, zero polish.

If you're posting to Facebook or a community group: A single image and three sentences does the job.

If you have a blog or email list: Turn the same update into a quick behind-the-scenes post. People love seeing the in-between moments. I can write that post for you.

The benefit you might not expect

These low-stakes posts do two things: they remind people you're actively making work, and they give you content when you don't have a finished piece to share. That visibility compounds. The artist who posts once a week when they finish something gets seen once a week. The artist who shares progress, process, and presence gets seen far more often, and when the finished work does drop, the audience is already warmed up.

The takeaway

A Wednesday studio update takes five minutes and keeps you in front of your audience without pressure. Show the work in progress, the space, the moment. It's enough.

What's happening in your studio today?

Tomorrow: Why posting at the same time every week builds a habit your audience can count on.
