Description
“Symbiosis: Wandoo Bark” is a meditation on the resilience and interconnectedness of life. Inspired by the textured surface of the Wandoo tree, the painting’s swirling forms and earthy palette evoke the organic complexity of bark—layered, weathered, and alive with subtle movement. Look closely, and you’ll find eight ants traversing the rugged terrain. These tiny figures are more than decorative detail: they represent community, diligence, and the often-unseen labor that supports the entire ecosystem. Their presence is a quiet tribute to the power of collaboration and the essential roles played by even the smallest members of a community. This piece invites viewers to reflect on the hidden networks that sustain life, both in nature and in our own lives. The interplay of texture and movement in the bark, combined with the purposeful journey of the ants, creates a visual narrative about resilience, cooperation, and the beauty of symbiotic relationships.
