The Mind's Gilded Tether
In this work, the psychological burden becomes a physical reality. The partially shaved head symbolizes a radical vulnerability of the mind—the place where the struggle takes place and the weight of existence is weighed. The golden Kintsugi veins that penetrate the skull attest to a mind that has suffered fractures under pressure, yet bears them as proud signs of steadfastness.
The central element is the golden shackle of the mind at the neck, closely linked to the massive burden on the shoulders. While the noose around the neck emotionally and mentally constricts the woman, the heavy gold on her shoulders presses her visually and physically toward the ground. It is this double pressure—the strangulation of needs and the burden of endurance—that drives the figure toward a lean. Despite this confinement, she maintains a dignified calm. She does not bend out of weakness, but acknowledges the heaviness of her own history, while the gold simultaneously protects and weighs her down.
