"Nocturne 16," acrylic on canvas, 30x40 inches, presents an evocative dance of cool blues and greens emerging from a deep, shadowed background. This piece was painted as part of a collaborative project with my late wife, pianist Pamela Howland. She recorded all 19 of Chopin's Nocturnes, and I created a painting for each one.
