Giddy Up was a complex piece to make. It started with 6 different layers of wood built up to give the dimensional look of a real saddle. The saddle blanket and one layer are composed of vintage and upcycled metals. The fender layer is made from an old gun carrying bag and a part of a cowboy boot. It's completed with a real vintage stirrup. I used baseball gloves, a purse, and old work boots for the skirt. The cinch is an old tooled leather belt. Finally, the seat, cantle and horn are made with a pair of cowboy boots, 2 vintage leather footballs and 7 softballs and baseballs.
