This country parade - Courir de Mardi Gras - that actually happens in rural LA. was the inspiration for this piece. This fun piece was originally designed for a call to artists in Lafayette, LA. Though not selected - the artist's own home county selected it later for this signal box. The artist, having dialed in to listen to the selection committee - who were not supposed to comment, just score the pieces - heard them say "What IS this?" "Is this some kind of native american thing?". They must have liked the mystery.
