Chris working on a rough drawing for a client amongst all his mess around his table. This is inside his Wildprints Gallery/Studio in Hay where he sits each day to draw. I took this photo of him at work this morning. Amazing the detail he does amongst all of this. Chris draws a rough so he can work out how the montage will work when he comes to the real drawing. This can take 300 hours

Ok #1 as I have corresponded with his wife here.... EVERYBODY go look at his profile. The work is, in my opinion, in a completely different league.

Quite frankly Chris (if you) or your wife. I really want to interview (selfishly perhaps) Chris for the podcast.

Patrick, Exciting to see your reply here regarding Chris at his messy desk.
Margie, his wife, is responding as Chris doesn't like computers but he will talk about his drawings. He has a natural talent and he does draw his way. About 55 years ago he entered into a local art exhibition with his detailed horse drawing and the judge glanced at is work and said "he should loosen up"! This killed his desire to drawing except the occasional horse drawing. A trip to Africa in 1994 gave him his passion back to draw again. He was managing a large sheep station running about 40,000 sheep so he drew at night which help him relaxed from the worries of the day and he would sleep soundly. I think he mediated while drawing as any noise gave him a fright. He started to receive recognition for his skills. The first 4 drawings we went into print as he was being asked for a drawing and because they took so long this was the way to go. Those prints went into the Africa Safari magazine in Australian. We went back to Africa in 1996 with our two children. They returned to Australia and we stayed to go on an assignment for the magazine to stay at a luxury tourist lodge in Zimbabwe. Chris did a drawing for them which appeared in the African Safari magazine. On the opposite page was an advert by another owner who asked if Chris could draw his lodges! This started our annual trip to Africa for our holidays. Chris would take a year to draw them back home as they were montage drawings showcasing what you would see around the lodge as well as where we stayed. We did this for a number of years. Now we take a small number people over with us to Africa. We are leaving on our next African experience in six weeks! I do waffle on which is why I market Chris's artwork as I am so proud of what he can draw!! Chris is playing tennis now before he goes into our Gallery/Studio to draw for the day.
Patrick, I don't know what time would be best for you to talk to him as being in Australia our time is different than America. Today it is Friday morning 7:42am. Please give me a few times so I can organise Chris to talk to you. Margie
