Hi April, thank you for your comment. Feedback is always inspiring. I feel so positive about this new forum. It has a lot of potential. I am also happy to be part of an art community. It is a new experience. Strange, I have painted for quite some years but did my own thing. Guess I always felt like an outsider. Next flowers I want to paint is the blue lotus, it is actually not a lotus but a water lily, also called Egyptian lotus.
That's what community is for, glad you're feeling it! And the years of painting your own thing is exactly how you develop a voice like yours. Excited to see the water lily next!
The blue lotuses will be part of a larger painting. I want to make some studies of them to get a feel for it. I have 3 painting projects in the planning stages. Hopefully I can begin next week and I am planning to share my process. It will be fun. Never did that before. + all the new stuff I am learning with artstorefronts. It is a lot and I just turned 69.
