Harbor Echoes

Imagem do post 1
This started when I was going through my archives, realizing I had several images of ships at the harbors on different trips to the Oregon Coast. The more I worked with it, the more it came to life, and created a vision for me. I used 3 of my own images and layered them along textures in photoshop. Each overlapping image and textured surface is meant to echo the way memories settle and intertwine, much like silt at the bottom of a harbor. The result is a visual tapestry that invites viewers to reflect on the stories and histories that linger in familiar places. The monochromatic palette and soft interplay of light and shadow create a contemplative mood, inviting a sense of quiet reflection and longing. As you explore the layers, you may discover echoes of your own memories—moments suspended in time, waiting to be unearthed. I did just revise this one. Thank you for pointing that out! I never really noticed it until I uploaded it here. It is does make a difference.

I like what you did here. As you say, layers and echoes. My only quibble is the birds near the bottom where they're running into the dock and the barrier. I'd be inclined to edit out all the birds in the lower third of the image since the upper ones add to the old-fashioned, dreamy vibe, but the lower ones detract (at least for me).

Yes I agree. I was noticing that myself. As I progressed with this series, I feel it became more settled and focused. This one was the start. I really appreciate your critique! Thank you!
